Why consider a career in Spa Nails?
One benefit a few of our currently attending cosmetology students have found is that the Spa Nail course is a shorter course to get started in the Spa and Salon industry. They can begin the career they have always dreamed of by working their way through Cosmetology school after graduating from Spa Nails. This will help to support their family and helps them in career experience for the future after they have a Cosmetology license. Others like the opportunities offered by our partnerships at Bellus Academy.
The Bellus Academy Spa Nail program does not only focus on the basic procedure of manicuring, pedicuring and acrylic nails, but goes even further partnering with Creative Nail Design (CND). CND helps our students and graduates understand professional terminologies, while fulfilling their creative skills in i.e. nail enhancements which can include liquid & powder, UV gel light systems, nail art etc. CND has always been client focused and is constantly looking at new technologies/consistently researching & developing new technological products to protect the client and artist from potential product overexposure, while preserving the integrity of the natural nail. One of the “hottest” new and voted the number 1 new product in the country is Shellac, which our students are trained to perform, something that nail technologists around the world are clamoring for.
Jan Arnold of Creative Nail Design noticed that Fashion Designers were not completing the looks of the models as they were walking the runway without polished, finished nails. This was an opportunity to enhance the nails of models in the cutting edge fashion arena.
Lynelle Lynch, President of Bellus Academy, is always striving for our students to be the top 10% in the industry. She enhanced the manicuring curriculum at Bellus Academies to include more Spa related curriculum. Bellus Academy has incorporated spa services into the curriculum to enhance the student’s career success when graduating and licensing in the State of California. The curriculum includes skill sets in aromatherapy, hot stones, reflexology and paraffin treatments.
